Nap anyone??
James is just like his papa, naps are not supposed to be taken in bed.
Here are some of the funny positions I have found him in.
A little piece of Heaven
This year we made a decision.
This year we did something different.
For the first time in my 11 years of being married we were home on Easter. I know this may sound strange to some of you, and trust me, it was strange for us as well.
Let me explain. See, usually on Easter, and the 5+ days before Easter, we are no where to be found. There are several homes in the Salt Lake Valley and one in Victor that have no lights on, no TVs on, no kids going in and out.
We are breathing in what I like to call a little piece of heaven. Delle.

I was introduced to this heaven 11 years ago, the Easter before we were married, and I fell in love. However, the past 3-4 years we have gone out it has been so cold that we actually woke up to snow one year. Camping in the cold isn't that fun. We make the best of it and layer up when we go for a ride, or bring lots of games and movies so we have something to do when its raining. When we started discussing the Easter trip this year, we all hoped for warmer weather but as Easter was in the begining of April we new we werent going to get it. That sealed it. We made the decision to go in May instead. And GUESS WHAT! It snowed on Easter!! Ha! I'll admit, we weren't sure what to do on Easter. We put baskets out, and talked about the Resurrection of Christ. Mostly we just walked around not knowing what to do. For Bill's parents I think there were a few shocked faces at church. It has been 30+ years since they have been home on Easter. It was warm, at some moments hot even. It was the normal windy, but wow was it ever dusty. Due to Utahs below average water fall this past winter, everything was dry and dusty. But hey, it was warm and that is all mattered. We rented a motorhome on Tuesday and headed out west. We met up with Bryce and Megan, Dallin and Courtney, Brian, Kim and Porter and Bub in the camp spot. They had all come out for the day (and one night) to ride. It was a great first day. I love being with family and friends having fun and playing. Ofcourse we kicked all the boys out of the motorhome to sleep and had Megan and Courtney stay with us. We all had a great time. *I no longer have time to sit and edit these, so these are all straight out of the camera shots*
Mom and Dad came out Wednesday. All I can say is it was HOT on Wednesday. We even turned on the AC in the motorhome to eat dinner. Laura and Garys clan came out Friday. Scott and Mindi's clan as well as the Briggs family came out Saturday.
Friday night we were able to have a fire. That is also a first for me. It has always been too dry, windy or just too cold for a fire.
Yes, my reeses smores were delicious (I know ya'll were curious).
So many fun times, so many fun pictures.
Enjoy...

days 4-7
Here I am, May 24th and all I've posted is the original 3 pictures.
I'm a flake. I know.
Truth is I just don't make time to do it. So, while Adam is asleep I'm going to try to get some more posted.
Days 4-7
You can't see it really well in this photo, but the contrast between the green on the trees and the white of the snow was so neat.
Day 5
My view
Day 6
Love Ethan's personality
Day 7
Love it!

31 days, 31 pics
This month I have decided to try to post a picture every day.
I know, I'm not starting off well and we have a 10 day vacation planned, 6 of which will be out in the middle of the desert.
Still... I'm going to try.
1. James has decided he does not want to be in the cart anymore..

2. 6 feet under a blanket. I love this shot. They had so much fun under Adams tent.
3. Okay, these aren't actually pictures but videos. I love to see how differently Adam interacts with his brothers already.

A month (or a little more) in pictures
I've been really bad the past month on posting the happenings at the Fritsch household so here it is, condensed into a plethora of pictures and a few videos.
Enjoy!

Ethan drew a picture of what he is currently earning.. sleeping on the top bunk of the motorhome.

One of our trips to Utah, we came down and found them asleep.

self explanatory, HA!

I'll try and do better.. Til' next time! C-ya

50 years
Can you believe it? 50 years. That is how long Bill's parents have been married.
We had a big party for them that turned out wonderful. My niece Kim took pictures and posted on her blog about it. She did such a wonderful job, I thought I would link it, please take a look

Winter Sports
I'm sorry it has taken me this long to get this posted.
The schools take every Wednesday for 5 weeks and gives the kids an option to; ski, swim, ice skate, cross country or snow shoe.
Ethan chose to Ski. He was so excited for two weeks before they started. So you can imagine his worry when Adams surgery was scheduled for day before the start of winter sports. We assured him he would make it. Bill drove them home Tuesday night and drove back down after Ethan came off the mountain Wednesday. It made for a long 3 days of driving but well worth it.
On the last day, Targhee sets up a race for all the skiers to go down, and any parent can come cheer the kids on.
Bill was able to go up and watch Ethan ski. He was so proud as skiing is something Bill has never done. We weren't sure if we would be able to get up there so we hadn't told Ethan we were coming up. Bill said when Ethan got down to where he was, he looked over and just grinned. After Ethan got to the bottom of the hill he showed Bill all over Tarhgee, including the hot chocolate room and his instructor.
Ethan had a wonderful time and keeps asking to go skiing again.

I have a picture of his intructor but im waiting for Bill to email it to me and I will post it.

This is Fred the Moose. He would go around to all the schools and visit with the kids, then he would go up and ski with all of them. Ethan still has the pin he got from Fred. Ethan said there was one time he was sitting on the ski bench with a girl and Fred came over and started teasing them and making them laugh.
Ethan loved Fred the Moose.

James turns 2
Friday February 10th James turned 2!
I still can't believe he is already 2. Not because he isn't acting like a 2 yr old, because he is ALL about being a 2 yr old. It just doesn't seem like it was 2 years ago he was born, Bill and I at the hospital, Ethan at the Thomas' and both moms ready to head on up.

At 2 he:
climbs on, over and under everything.
thinks he is tall enough to see over the counter no matter what he brings to stand on.
loves mac and cheese, quesadillas, chips, popcorn, grapes, apples, bananas, juice and ice cream.
hates any kind of orange, meat, vegetables and pretty much anything we make for dinner.
is the sweetest thing, constantly giving everyone hugs and kisses. If you get hurt or upset, he is the first one there to comfort you.
has the best pouty face ever. He doesn't like to see you when he pouts so he will hide his head or leave the room.
loves to wrestle and play with Ethan and Papa
loves to draw on anything he can. Including walls, couches, recliners, tables...
is getting better and better at speaking every day
favorite words: Juice, Eat, Papa, Mama, Ethan, Adam, Buzz, Woody, Banana
can't go a day without playing with Buzz, Woody, Mater or Lightening McQueen and basketballs
loves playing and being next to Ethan
loves kissing and hugging Adam

(29 lbs)

(35 inches tall)
James, you are such a delight and joy to have in our family. You are the epitimy of boy and always on the go. You already keep us on our toes and we love everry moment we have with you.
We Love You!

Our precious blessing
Monday we had Adams 3 week follow up with Dr. Skarda.
I was hoping Adam would be upwards of 12 lbs or more. He was eating well but he had lost so much from the surgery. He weighed in at 11 1/2 lbs. Dr Skarda was pleased with his weight and explained with that major of surgery it would take 3-4 weeks to get back on track. I still wasn't happy but content that things were progressing.
Dr Skarda said his incisions looked wonderful and lungs sounded great but wanted to check the fluid to make sure it wasn't building.
As long as the chest X-ray looked good then we wouldn't need to come back and see him.
On the way home he called letting us know the X-ray looked great. The fluid pocket had actually receded and he was extremely happy with everything. What a blessing. There has been so many the past 6 months I can't count them.
Thank you Dr Skarda for taking Adam into your heart, loving him and wanting what was best for him. It was such a mercy that you happened to always be the Dr in when we needed help.
Forever, thank you.
